Nearly 24,000 households in Kent and East Sussex are facing water shortages once more, just a day after South East Water (SEW) reported partial restoration of supplies.
On Tuesday, SEW announced that around 12,000 homes had their water supply restored following an issue at a treatment facility that left approximately 24,000 properties without water on Saturday.
However, the company acknowledged continued problems, stating: "We deeply apologise to residents in Tunbridge Wells who are still experiencing water outages this morning. Due to recurring water quality issues, these homes are again without water, leaving all 24,000 properties in Tunbridge Wells affected."
The ongoing water crisis, now in its fifth day, has disrupted residents in Tunbridge Wells, Pembury, Frant, and Eridge, causing either complete loss of water or low water pressure.
