Charlie Sheen Faces Accusation of $15 Million Debt During Tell-All Spree

Charlie Sheen may find himself back in court for another legal dispute with his ex-wife, Brooke Mueller, after the release of his memoir and Netflix documentary. The actor, known for his troubled personal life, has been married three times, with his second and third wives, Denise Richards and Brooke Mueller, making headlines over the years. Mueller, in particular, has had a long-standing battle with Sheen regarding unpaid child support.

Recently, Mueller reignited the legal battle, accusing Sheen of owing her more than $15 million in unpaid child support. The former couple, who married in 2008, welcomed twin sons in 2009, before their marriage ended in 2010. According to Muellers legal filings, Sheen has failed to meet the required $660,000 annual child support payments set by the court following their divorce.

In legal documents filed on December 4, 2025, Mueller claimed Sheen owed her $8.97 million in child support, along with $6.42 million in accrued interest, bringing the total to over $15 million. Additionally, she requested that Sheen cover her legal expenses, including $25,000 in attorney fees and costs. She demanded the full amount be paid within 30 days of a court order.

Details of the Child Support Dispute

Mueller explained in her court filing that Sheen had been ordered to pay $55,000 per month in child support starting in 2010. While he made payments initially, Mueller alleged that he stopped making regular payments after July 2011. In 2011, Sheen reportedly paid only $295,000, and from 2012 to 2015, he made no payments at all, before resuming partial payments in 2016. Over the years, Mueller claimed the following payments were made:

  • $96,000 in 2016
  • $228,366 in 2017
  • $113,000 in 2018
  • No payments from 2019 to 2022
  • $20,000 in 2023
  • $30,000 in 2024
  • $39,000 in 2025

Past Legal Battles Over Child Support

This is not the first time Mueller has taken legal action against Sheen for child support. In April 2016, she filed a lawsuit claiming he owed over $89,000. At that time, Sheen had also requested a reduction in his child support payments, citing financial difficulties, including a significant drop in his income from $600,000 per month to $167,000. He also claimed to be facing over $12 million in debt. Despite these claims, the court upheld the original $55,000 monthly order.

Although Sheen was unsuccessful in lowering his child support payments to Mueller, he did manage to reduce his payments to his second ex-wife, Denise Richards, from $55,000 to $20,000 per month in a separate ruling.

Sheens Memoir and Its Impact on His Legal Troubles

The legal proceedings surrounding Sheen's child support obligations come after the release of his memoir, The Book of Sheen, and his Netflix documentary, which shed light on his tumultuous career, drug addiction, and personal life. In the memoir, Sheen made pointed remarks about his marriage to Mueller, stating that she was more interested in the idea of motherhood than in the reality of it. He also discussed how their relationship deteriorated due to drug use, which contributed to the collapse of their marriage.

In addition to discussing his divorces, Sheen opened up about his decision to publicly disclose his HIV-positive status during a 2015 interview on The Today Show. Sheen explained that he had been forced to go public due to extortion attempts and that revealing his health condition was ultimately the only way to find freedom from the pressure to keep it secret.

Whats Next for Charlie Sheen?

With the legal battle over child support fees intensifying, it remains to be seen how Charlie Sheen will respond to his ex-wife's claims. Will he face another courtroom battle, or will the two former spouses reach a resolution outside of court? Only time will tell.
