Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb Receives Unfortunate News on Monday

The Dallas Cowboys secured their first winning season mark of 2025 in Week 13, improving to 6-5-1 with a 31-28 victory over Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs. Looking ahead to Week 14, the team faces a pivotal matchup on the road against the Detroit Lions during "Thursday Night Football."

CeeDee Lamb bounced back after a challenging stretch, having dropped seven passes in the previous two games. The former Oklahoma Sooners wideout led the team with seven receptions for 112 yards and a touchdown. Despite missing three games earlier due to a high ankle sprain, Lamb has accumulated 51 catches for 744 yards and three touchdowns this season.

While Lamb continues to contribute, his absence impacted his overall statistics. Meanwhile, rookie George Pickens has emerged as a key player, recording 73 receptions for 1,142 yards and eight touchdowns, proving to be a vital weapon for quarterback Dak Prescott and the Cowboys' offense.

On Monday, the NFL revealed the initial fan voting results for the 2026 Pro Bowl, which represent one-third of the total voting. Pickens ranked second among wide receivers in votes, but Lamb did not make the top ten. Seattle Seahawks standout Jaxon Smith-Njigba is the only receiver ahead of Pickens.

Other Cowboys players in the top ten at their positions include center Cooper Beebe (6th), kicker Brandon Aubrey (2nd), guards Tyler Smith (9th) and Tyler Booker (10th), quarterback Dak Prescott (4th), and tight end Jake Ferguson (6th).

Tom Pelissero of NFL Network shared the rankings, stating: "Heres the top 10 vote-getters by position as of 11 a.m. ET today."

Lamb and the Cowboys will face the Detroit Lions on Thursday at 8:15 p.m. ET.
