India is set to dispatch a team of investigators to the United States next week to review data related to the fatal Air India crash in June with the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), according to a Bloomberg News report on Saturday.
The Indian delegation is expected to present their findings, including insights from the aircrafts cockpit voice and flight data recorders, sources familiar with the matter told Bloomberg.
The meeting will take place at the NTSB headquarters in Washington D.C., and representatives from Boeing and other involved parties are also expected to attend. Boeing referred inquiries to the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB).
The Boeing 787 Dreamliner, traveling from Ahmedabad to London, experienced a sudden loss of thrust and altitude shortly after takeoff. The crash resulted in the deaths of 241 people on board and 19 individuals on the ground.
