Residents and visitors can take advantage of free parking when visiting local towns in the lead-up to Christmas. According to the City of Wolverhampton Council, all four car parks in Wednesfield will be free of charge daily from Saturday until 23 December, between 08:00 and 18:00 GMT.
Additional council-managed car parks in areas such as Bilston and Tettenhall will also offer complimentary parking. In Wolverhampton city centre, selected parking locations will provide free parking on weekends starting 6 December.
Wolverhampton councillor Qaiser Azeem stated that this initiative is designed to encourage more visitors to the town and support local businesses.
No pay-and-display tickets or RingGo sessions will be necessary at the following Wednesfield car parks:
- Woodhouse Fold - Battle of Wodensfield car park B
- Woodhouse Fold - William 'Harry' Busby car park C
Free weekend parking at council-managed sites in Wolverhampton city centre, as well as weekday free parking from 15:00, will be available from Saturday through 23 December.
