US FAA selects Peraton to supervise the effort to reform air traffic control

WASHINGTON, Dec 4 The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) announced on Thursday that it has chosen Peraton, a national security firm owned by Veritas Capital, to serve as the project manager for a $12.5 billion initiative aimed at modernizing the United States' air traffic control system.

Earlier this year, in September, the FAA confirmed it had received two proposals for the role: one from Peraton and another joint bid submitted by Parsons and IBM. According to the FAA, Peraton will act as the sole integrator, overseeing the extensive project and ensuring its completion on schedule while maintaining uninterrupted air traffic operations.
