Matilda Firth, an 11-year-old from Cleckheaton, West Yorkshire, has shared her excitement about acting alongside top Hollywood stars in the festive film Tinsel Town. In the movie, she portrays the daughter of Kiefer Sutherlands character, appearing alongside Rebel Wilson.

Filming concluded earlier this year, with several scenes shot in Knaresborough, North Yorkshire. Matilda described the experience as amazing and said she learned a lot from her co-stars. Every day on set was incredible, she told the BBC.

The story follows Sutherlands character, Bradley Mac, a struggling Hollywood action star who joins a quirky village production of Cinderella. Matilda praised the cast for their kindness, highlighting her admiration for Sutherland. He was professional, funny, and kindone of the top ten nicest people Ive ever met, she said.

Knaresborough locations featured in the film included Castlegate, Riverside, and Green Dragon Yard. Other notable actors in the production include Danny Dyer, Derek Jacobi, and Jason Manford. During February filming, the town was adorned with festive lights, creating a magical Christmas atmosphere on set.

Filming in Knaresborough also allowed Matilda to return home, see friends, and spend time with her two pet kittens, Newt and Ripley. Her growing acting portfolio includes roles in the horror film Wolfman and ITVs Mr Bates vs The Post Office. She expressed excitement for the films release so that her friends could watch her performance.

Matilda comes from a family of young actors; her two brothers also act. She has previously appeared in Netflixs The English Game, filmed in Bradford, and a McDonalds Christmas commercial. Additionally, she has worked with actors such as Patrick Dempsey, Ryan Gosling, Julia Garner, and Matt Smith.

Tinsel Town premiered on 5 December, marking another milestone in Matildas rapidly expanding career.
