Alyssa Farah Griffin, a co-host of ABC's talk show "The View," has been noticeably missing from the show for the past week. She recently took to Instagram to reveal the reason for her absence. The popular TV personality shared that her health had been the cause of her time away from the show.

Fans of "The View" quickly noticed Griffins absence, sparking curiosity about her well-being. Her fellow co-host, Whoopi Goldberg, addressed her absence during a recent broadcast, offering a supportive message: "Get better soon."

On December 3, Griffin posted an update on her Instagram Story, explaining that she had been ill with a stomach virus. She wrote, "Hey guys! Ive been down sick with a stomach virus. But will hopefully be back on @theviewabc tomorrow."

Griffin also shared a personal note, revealing that being pregnant made the illness even more challenging. She added, "Its no fun being sick while 6 + months pregnant!"

In the same post, Griffin reminded her followers to take care during cold and flu season, urging them to stay safe: "Remember its that time of year be smart, use hand sanitizer, stay home if youre sick!"

Griffin, who is expecting her first child, a baby boy, with her husband Justin Griffin, shared the exciting news in October 2025. Their baby is due in February 2026. Fans are hoping she recovers soon and returns to her hosting duties on "The View."
