BAFTA North America has unveiled its 2025 BAFTA Breakthrough US group, highlighting emerging talent across film, television, and video games. This years cohort includes Frida Prez, writer and producer of The Studio, actor Miles Caton from Sinners, and video game developer Karla Reyes.
The BAFTA Breakthrough program supports individuals on the verge of major career milestones. Participants benefit from a year-long series of opportunities, including personalized mentorship, professional guidance, full BAFTA voting membership, invitations to screenings and events, and international networking occasions.
Now in its sixth year, BAFTA Breakthrough US has a history of nurturing talented creators. Past participants include Stephanie Economou, HIKARI, Nava Mau, Bao Nguyen, Fernando Reyes Medina, Karrie Shirou Shao, Erica Tremblay, Cheyenne Pualani Morrin, and Sean Wang.
