Hines participation alongside prominent political figures aligns with her marriage to U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Nevertheless, her shift from liberal to conservative viewpoints has reportedly surprised many of her Hollywood peers.

According to sources, some longtime friends of the actress now avoid political discussions with her, describing her alignment with pro-Trump perspectives as unexpected and difficult to understand. Observers noted that Hines has publicly defended her husbands actions on television, including a tense exchange on The View where she countered criticism of Kennedys qualifications.

During the episode, Hines referenced her husbands legal career, including his representation of a school groundskeeper who claimed that exposure to Roundup weed killer led to a non-Hodgkins lymphoma diagnosis. The client was awarded $289 million in 2018.

At the event, Vance was also photographed signing holiday cards, while Hines appeared in an all-white outfit, interacting warmly with the first lady. Hines has spoken candidly about the personal challenges she has faced recently, including mourning the loss of her nephew and navigating public scrutiny surrounding her husbands controversial career.

Despite losing some Hollywood friends due to her association with Kennedy, Hines has emphasized the importance of supporting her husband. In interviews, she explained that while opinions about Kennedy vary widely, she feels it is essential to express why she loves him and share her personal experiences honestly in her memoir Unscripted.

Hines stated, There are extremes on both sides to Bobbyand being his wife means navigating both unwavering supporters and harsh critics. Speaking openly about my journey makes me feel grounded because these are my own words and cant be misrepresented.
