Rumors are swirling over whether Taylor Swift paid for an entire wedding and honeymoon to secure a June 13, 2026 date for her own nuptials with Travis Kelceor if the venue blocked such an arrangement. Interest in Swifts Rhode Island wedding plans has only intensified in recent months.
Several locations have been suggested for the high-profile wedding: Swifts Watch Hill mansion in Westerly, the historic Breakers mansion in Newport, and Ocean House, a Victorian-style coastal resort near her property.
Page Six reported on December 4 that Swift allegedly offered a large sum to a couple already booked at Ocean House for June 13, 2026, in order to claim the date. Initially, the couple had considered holding the wedding at Swifts Watch Hill home but opted for the resort due to space constraints.
Earlier this year, a podcast anecdote described a Rhode Island bride being approached about changing her June 13 date. According to the story, an unnamed couple offered to pay for the brides wedding and honeymoon if she moved her ceremony. Although the account did not explicitly name Swift, the timing and details appeared to align.
Ocean House has officially denied the buyout claim. Stephanie Leavitt, the resorts director of sales and marketing, told Daily Mail that Ocean House would not and is not allowing another party or entity to buy a wedding group out of a contracted wedding date, emphasizing the hotels commitment to confidentiality, integrity, and client service. She also declined to reveal who has booked the June 13, 2026 date, citing privacy for the couples involved. Representatives for Swift and Kelce have not commented on the matter.
The June 13 date has drawn additional attention because it is Swifts half-birthday and her favorite number. She has frequently cited 13 as a lucky number, sharing stories of its significance in her career and personal life. Numerology enthusiasts note that 6/13/26 sums to 9, a number associated with completion and transition.
At this stage, Swifts wedding plans remain unconfirmed, whether they involve her Watch Hill estate, the Breakers, or a Rhode Island resort. Speculation about the venue, numerology, and other details is expected to continue until the couple officially announces their plans.
