Holland Taylor expresses admiration for Sarah Paulson at Walk of Fame ceremony

Sarah Paulson was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Tuesday, joining a distinguished group of entertainment icons. Her partner, Holland Taylor, 82, delivered heartfelt remarks praising Paulson, 50, both for her craft and her character.

At the Los Angeles ceremony on December 2, Taylor described Paulson as "a wild creature in the animal kingdom: warm-blooded, instinctive, mysterious," highlighting her extraordinary talent for fully understanding her characters and their worlds. "She zeros in on a storys central struggle, often revealing truths others might overlook," Taylor said.

Paulson, widely recognized for her roles in Ryan Murphy productions such as American Horror Story and American Crime Story, wore a black-and-white checkered high-neck dress. Taylor attended in a navy pantsuit with a striped shirt. Taylor added that Paulsons acting is "as honest as a vow of faith and as intricate as chemistry," emphasizing her fearless approach to portraying complex, misunderstood, or marginalized characters.

Turning to Paulsons personal qualities, Taylor described her as deeply understanding, loving, and loyal, calling her "safety itself." She concluded her remarks by affirming, "Hollywood does well to honor her. She has a permanent shining star on my street. I love you, darling."

The Hollywood Walk of Fame has celebrated luminaries from music, film, and television since 1960, with over 2,700 stars now installed along Hollywood Boulevard. Previous honorees include Bill Nye, Glynn Turman, and Jennifer Lopez, among many others.

Paulsons ceremony drew numerous celebrities, including Ava DuVernay, Don Cheadle, Cedric the Entertainer, Tina Knowles, Anna Peet, Leslie Grossman, Niecy Nash with Jessica Betts, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Melanie Lynskey, and Clea DuVall.
