Holland Taylor praises Sarah Paulson as 'Loving and Loyal' as she receives Hollywood Walk of Fame star

Holland Taylor celebrated her partner Sarah Paulson in a touching speech while receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The couple, together for ten years, shared a heartfelt moment that revealed glimpses of Paulsons life beyond the public eye.

During the event on Tuesday, December 2, Taylor, 82, described Paulson, 50, in a vivid metaphor: Sarah, the actress, is a wild being of the animal world. Warm-blooded, instinctive, and enigmatic. And Sarah is dangerousnot like a snake, more like a mongoose. Those small, furry creatures that take down snakes.

Taylor praised Paulsons dedication to authenticity in her craft, noting the rarity of such commitment in the entertainment industry. Nothing distracts her from understanding her characters essence, its surroundings, vulnerabilities, heroism, flaws, and emotional depth, Taylor said. She hones in on the storys core conflict, often beyond our own awareness. Her performances are honest, complex, and enchanting, like magic in motion.

Highlighting Paulsons personal qualities, Taylor added, She is deeply empathetic, loving, and loyal, a person who radiates safety. Yet, you can never fully predict what will excite or anger herthat unpredictability is part of lifes adventure with Sarah.

Attending the ceremony were Paulsons close friend Amanda Peet, with whom she starred in the series Jack & Jill from 1999 to 2001, and Ryan Murphy, creator of many of Paulsons acclaimed TV projects.

Paulson publicly confirmed her relationship with Taylor in a March 2016 interview, recalling their first meeting at a dinner party where she was struck by Taylors remarkable beauty.
