Jessica Alba expresses feeling of humiliation while filming nude scene in "Fantastic Four"

Jessica Alba has revealed the challenges of filming a nude scene for the 2005 movie Fantastic Four, calling the experience humiliating. Speaking at the Red Sea Film Festival in Saudi Arabia on December 5, Alba, 44, reflected on the scene, saying, "I thought that was awful. It was very humiliating in real life. I grew up with a pretty conservative family, and I am a pretty modest person. I dreaded that scene for weeks. I have a lot of whiplash from those days."

Despite her discomfort, Alba expressed admiration for her character, Sue Storm, also known as The Invisible Woman. She described the character as very maternal and very kind, but also not a pushover; she spoke her mind. Alba added, "She had a great moral compass. No matter who you are, you can look up to her."

Reflecting on the portrayal of female characters at the time, Alba noted, "Oftentimes, the women in these stories need to be saved by a guy or the villain, the problem in the story. This was back then. Its different now."

Alba starred as Sue Storm alongside Chris Evans (Johnny Storm/The Human Torch), Ioan Gruffudd (Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic), Michael Chiklis (Ben Grimm/The Thing), and Julian McMahon (Victor von Doom/Doctor Doom) in the two Fantastic Four films of 2005 and 2007.

She also shared that she would be open to returning to the Marvel universe, saying, "Yeah, of course. I loved playing that character. [I'd be open to] anything in the Marvel universe. I'm a fan of all the superhero stories, and it was a great time in my life. So yeah, if they would have me, sure."
