Jimmy Kimmel Responds to Trump Nodding Off During Cabinet Meeting

During a Cabinet meeting on Tuesday, December 2, President Donald Trump appeared to struggle to stay awake, catching the attention of late-night host Jimmy Kimmel. Throughout the televised session, where various officials lavished praise on the 79-year-old President, Trump seemed to close his eyes multiple times, occasionally drifting off entirely before snapping back to attention.

On Jimmy Kimmel Live! that evening, Kimmel highlighted Trumps recent rebuttal to a New York Times report claiming he was reducing his schedule due to signs of fatigue. Kimmel showcased a montage of clips from the meeting, where Trump appeared drowsy as officials such as Marco Rubio and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. addressed the room.

If you can sleep through RFK Jr.s voice, youre definitely tired! Kimmel joked. He also sarcastically referenced Trumps nickname for former President Joe Biden: Tell us again how sleepy Joe is, will ya?

Kimmel pointed out that the President had been very active online, posting 160 times on Truth Social between 7:09 PM and midnight on Monday, December 1. Of course he was tired. He was up all night posting, Kimmel quipped, adding, Do you know how long you have to be on the toilet to post that much? He noted that Trump resumed posting early the next morning, tweeting, TRUTH SOCIAL IS THE BEST! There is nothing even close!! to which Kimmel responded humorously.

Regarding the meeting, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt told People that Trump was fully attentive and managed the three-hour session without issue. Recently, Trump also discussed his health while speaking to reporters on Air Force One, claiming his October MRI results were perfect and bragging about his performance on a cognitive test.
