MAGA Pastor Reveals Details of Late-Night Call With Barron Trump

A pastor aligned with MAGA has disclosed details about a late-night phone conversation that may have influenced a spiritual awakening for Barron Trump. Stuart Knechtle, a pastor and therapist with 2.4 million TikTok followers, discussed the call on George Jankos faith-focused podcast on Thursday.

Knechtle described speaking with the 19-year-old son of the former president around 12:30 a.m., noting that Barron appeared very close to embracing Christianity. I felt like I threw everything I had at him to present evidence for God and the Christian faith, Knechtle, 37, said.

During the call, Knechtle shared personal experiences and talked about dreams and revelations, which in biblical teachings are seen as ways God communicates guidance, warnings, or direction to believers. I thought I was hitting it hard, but at the end, I went in completely open-handed and focused on dreams and revelations, he explained.

Barron Trumps father, Donald Trump, was raised in his mothers Presbyterian tradition but currently identifies as a nondenominational Christian. He attends church only occasionally for events like holidays or funerals. Melania Trump, a Catholic, also maintains a limited church presence. Both were married at an Episcopal Church in Florida, where Barron was baptized, creating an interesting blend of religious influences within the family.

Knechtle recalled telling Barron, I normally wouldnt use this as evidence, but I have a friend in Africa who has witnessed thousands of Muslims converting to Christianity through dreams and revelations. How do you explain that?

He said Barron responded thoughtfully, noting the significance of eyewitness accounts and indicating he was processing the idea. Knechtle described the moment as pivotal: That seemed to resonate with him, and he is very close to embracing faith in Christ.

He added, It really highlights the power of dreams and revelations. People who arent believers can witness them and think, There might be something to this.

While Barrons personal religious views have largely remained private, several figures from the Trump administration have openly embraced Christianity, including Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, House Speaker Mike Johnson, and Vice President JD Vance. Donald Trump has publicly identified as a Christian since 2015.

Recently, Barron, who generally maintains a low public profile, was seen at a family Thanksgiving gathering at Mar-a-Lago. He has transferred from NYUs Manhattan campus to its Washington, D.C., campus and currently resides at the White House.
