Paradise Season 2 Returns in February — First Look at the Return Of [Spoiler], Topside Survivors in Action and More

"Can I tell you a secret, something no one else knows?" says Sinatra near the end of the initial footage from Paradise Season 2. "It was never just about the bunker." This line sets the tone for the new season, as the recently released teaser trailer offers a glimpse of the story's continuation when the series returns in February.

Paradise will debut its new season with a three-episode premiere on Monday, February 23, as announced by Hulu during the shows panel at CCXP in Brazil. Subsequent episodes will be released weekly. The streamer also shared the first sneak peek from Season 2, showcasing the dramatic developments awaiting viewers.

The teaser opens with a striking image: Air Force One has crash-landed in a tree, leaving both Xavier Collins (Sterling K. Brown) and the plane in a precarious state. However, it is clear that some individuals survived the catastrophic event that devastated the world, with brief glimpses of survivors appearing throughout the roughly one-minute video. One figure, seen from behind, may be Xavier's wife, Teri, raising hope for both him and the audience.

The preview also highlights returning characters from Season 1, including Sinatra (Julianne Nicholson), Dr. Gabriela Torabi (Sarah Shahi), and Jane (Nicole Brydon Bloom), alongside those who had perished, such as President Cal Bradford (James Marsden) and potentially Billy Pace (Jon Beavers). Both Marsden and Beavers are confirmed as recurring guest stars, likely appearing through flashbacks, which the show frequently employs. Additionally, new cast member Shailene Woodley ("Big Little Lies") appears to play a scientist examining the climate crisis that precipitated the apocalypse.

According to the official Season 2 synopsis: "Xavier searches for Teri out in the world and learns how people survived the three years since The Day. Back in Paradise, the social fabric frays as the bunker deals with the aftermath of Season 1, and new secrets are uncovered about the city's origins."

The returning cast also includes Krys Marshall, Enuka Okuma, Aliyah Mastin, Percy Daggs IV, and Charlie Evans. New additions are Thomas Doherty ("Tell Me Lies"), Timothy Omundson ("Psych"), and Michael McGrady ("The Perfect Couple"), whose roles are being kept mysterious.
