Saban Films has announced the appointment of Sarah Corrigan, formerly of Tubi and IFC Films, as its new Senior Director of Distribution. In this role, Corrigan will focus on expanding the companys direct distribution initiatives and supporting its strategic growth objectives.
Corrigan joins Saban Films from the AVOD platform Tubi, where she oversaw independent film licensing and the acquisition of original films. During her tenure, she negotiated content agreements with notable companies such as A24, Neon, Saban, WME, and CJ Entertainment.
In her new position, Corrigan will develop and manage Saban Films direct distribution strategy, including partnerships and analytics. She will also lead efforts to expand the companys direct transactional distribution, while contributing to acquisition strategies and project greenlighting decisions. Her appointment is effective immediately.
Earlier in her career, Corrigan was part of AMC Networks IFC Films New Business Development team, where she supported strategic distribution and growth initiatives.
Sarah brings a unique mix of strategic vision, strong industry relationships, and practical deal-making experience across both AVOD and transactional platforms, said Saban Co-Presidents Jonathan Saba and Shanan Becker. Her expertise positions her perfectly to guide Saban Films through its next stage of growth.
Corrigan expressed enthusiasm about her new role, stating, Im excited to join a team that continues to innovate in film distribution. Saban Films has established a leading independent distribution model, and I look forward to helping expand that vision further.
Saban Films, a U.S.-based distributor, has built a catalog of over 250 titles and extended its international reach through partnerships in countries including Austria, France, Germany, Scandinavia, Australia, New Zealand, Spain, the UK, Ireland, Benelux, and Switzerland. Recent domestic releases include Knox Goes Away, starring Michael Keaton, and The Unholy Trinity, featuring Pierce Brosnan and Samuel L. Jackson.
