Samuel L. Jackson finds humor in internet dubbing Lamar Jackson his "long lost son"

Samuel L. Jackson continues to stand out in Hollywood for his candid personality and unmatched film legacy. In a recent Jimmy Kimmel Live interview, the iconic actor talked about his Super Bowl LIX performance with Kendrick Lamar, his past work with Tupac, and a viral joke circulating online that suggests he is related to Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson.

So, is there a family connection between Samuel L. Jackson and Lamar Jackson? Simply put, no. The two are not father and son. During the interview, at around the 1:14 mark, Kimmel asked Jackson if he still supports the Atlanta Falcons, given that Monday Night Football was airing. Jackson explained that the Falcons had played on Sunday and lost their second-year quarterback due to a season-ending injury.

"I'm still a Falcons fan. I can't not be a Falcons fan, but I mostly cheer for the Baltimore Ravens because Lamar Jackson is my b*stard son," Jackson joked. "That's what everyone thinks, so I just roll with it. There are all kinds of side-by-side photos of us online."

Fans who have seen the side-by-side images agree that the resemblance is uncanny, making the playful joke even more entertaining.

In other news, Jackson is set to star in NOLA King, a spinoff of the series Tulsa King led by Sylvester Stallone. He will play Russell Lee Washington Jr., a character tied to Stallone's Dwight Manfredi, and is expected to appear in the third season of the Taylor Sheridan production. Filming is scheduled to start in 2026, with the release likely in late 2026 or early 2027.
