Sean Combs' Mother Criticizes 'Inaccuracies' in 'Reckoning' Documentary, Denies Abusive Parent Allegations

Janice Combs, mother of music mogul Sean Combs, has strongly rejected statements made in the Netflix docuseries Sean Combs: The Reckoning that labeled her as an abusive parent. She described these allegations as untrue and disputed other depictions regarding their relationship and Seans behavior towards her.

In a statement shared with media, Janice Combs emphasized that the docuseries contained misrepresentations about my son Seans upbringing and our family life and accused it of being deliberately structured to mislead viewers and damage our reputation.

She elaborated, I was a single mother, juggling three to four jobs to ensure Sean had a stable home and good education. I raised him with love and diligence, not abuse. Janice stated that her goal was to clarify false narratives presented in the series.

Addressing comments made by Tim Patterson, who claimed to be a childhood friend of Sean, she labeled his portrayal as not truthful and sensationalized to promote the series. She recalled Sean as a respectful, hardworking, and ambitious child and teenager and insisted he was always goal-driven and industrious.

Janice also refuted allegations made by Kirk Burrowes, co-founder of Bad Boy Entertainment, who claimed Sean once slapped her. She said, The statement that Sean slapped me following the City College incident on December 28, 1991, is false. Using that tragedy to push fabricated stories is offensive and unjust.

Additionally, she criticized Burrowes claim that Sean mismanaged the Notorious B.I.G.s funeral expenses, describing it as part of a series of misleading assertions.

Janice highlighted Seans dedication as a son, noting his assistance with her medical needs and financial support. She concluded by demanding that these distortions and false statements be publicly corrected.
