Tickets Now Available for 'Stranger Things' Series Finale Screening, Netflix Reveals 500 Participating Theaters

Fans can now secure spots to watch the series finale of Stranger Things, with Netflix announcing more than 500 participating theaters across the U.S. and Canada. Screenings will coincide with the finales Netflix release on December 31 at 5 p.m. PT and continue through January 1, 2026.

These events are part of a promotional initiative, with Netflix not collecting revenue from ticket sales. Instead, theaters are offering concession vouchers or free RSVP options for fans to reserve seats. Netflix-owned venues will host complimentary screenings with a reservation system to manage attendance.

The finale, running approximately 2 hours and 5 minutes, is longer than the recent Season 5 episodes, which ranged between 54 minutes and 1 hour 23 minutes. The episode will air as a standalone installment, following the release of the first four episodes of Season 5 in late November and the remaining three episodes on Christmas Day. Both theatrical and streaming releases will occur simultaneously.

The Duffer Brothers expressed excitement about the theatrical experience, noting that seeing the finale on the big screen with enhanced audio, visuals, and fellow fans is a fitting way to close the series.

This simultaneous release marks Netflixs first theatrical debut for a TV series finale. The company has previously explored theater screenings for award-eligible films and major fan-driven properties like Stranger Things and KPop Demon Hunters.

To celebrate the final season, Netflix has also partnered with Lego to release a 2,593-piece Creel House set and other merchandise aimed at the shows devoted fanbase.
