Vanity Fair and reporter Olivia Nuzzi end their collaboration

Vanity Fair has announced that it will no longer continue its partnership with journalist Olivia Nuzzi, whose public relationship with Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has attracted significant media attention in recent months. A joint statement released Friday noted that the decision was mutual and intended to serve the magazine's interests, with Nuzzis contract concluding at the end of the year.

Nuzzi, 32, joined Vanity Fair earlier this year as the West Coast editor. Last month, the magazine featured an excerpt from her forthcoming memoir.

Her engagement with Vanity Fair followed her exit from New York Magazine last year, which came shortly after she revealed a personal relationship with Kennedya figure she had previously profiled while he was campaigning for president. New York Magazine stated that an internal review found no evidence of errors or bias in her reporting.

This week, Nuzzi released her book, American Canto, which includes reflections on her relationship with a politician whose identity remains undisclosed.

In the period leading up to the book launch, Nuzzi faced public scrutiny from her former fianc, political journalist Ryan Lizza, who questioned her professional conduct.

A representative for Kennedy has denied that he ever met Nuzzi outside of a single interview for her New York Magazine piece, describing the article as a critical portrayal resulting from that encounter.
