During a recent New York City performance, Portugal. The Man delivered a surprising rendition of Rage Against the Machines iconic "Killing in the Name," joined on stage by parody legend 'Weird Al' Yankovic. The collaboration, which took place on Tuesday, offered a high-energy, non-comedic take on the classic rock anthem.
The performance also included an unexpected appearance by filmmaker and The Lonely Island member Jorma Taccone, dressed as Pee-wee Herman, adding a whimsical twist to the show. Video clips of the performance are available on Portugal. The Mans Instagram account.
Portugal. The Man and 'Weird Al' Yankovic share a history of musical collaboration. In 2020, they released "Who's Gonna Stop Me," marking Yankovic's first venture into non-comedic music. Previously, in 2018, Al created remixes of PTM tracks including "Feel It Still" and "Live in the Moment."
