Conor McGregor's Lawsuit for Alleged 2023 Sexual Assault Dismissed

A legal case accusing Conor McGregor of sexually assaulting a woman after the 2023 NBA Finals has been formally dismissed, reports indicate. The plaintiff requested the dismissal in U.S. District Court, and Senior Judge Joan A. Lenard of the Southern District of Florida ruled on December 3 that the lawsuit was dismissed with prejudice, preventing any future refiling.

The lawsuit alleged that the 49-year-old executive was assaulted by McGregor in a bathroom at the Kaseya Center on June 9, 2023, following Game 4 between the Miami Heat and Denver Nuggets. The filing, which came in January 2025, also named arena employees, claiming they were aware of the misconduct but failed to intervene or protect her.

McGregor has consistently denied the claims. His attorney previously stated that a 2023 criminal investigation found no grounds for prosecution. Almost two years and at least three lawyers later, the plaintiff has a new false story. We are confident that this case too will be dismissed, the lawyer said.

This is not the first legal issue McGregor has faced. In November 2024, he was ordered to pay over $250,000 in a civil case in Ireland after Nikita Hand accused him of assault in a Dublin hotel in 2018. McGregor attempted to appeal that decision but was unsuccessful.
