NFL Analyst Brutally Rips Steelers' Aaron Rodgers

Steelers Aaron Rodgers Harshly Critiqued by NFL Analyst

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers endured a rough outing against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, completing just 10 of 21 passes for 117 yards. The veteran failed to throw a touchdown and lost a fumble that Buffalo returned for a score, contributing to Pittsburghs fall to a 6-6 record.

With the Steelers slipping out of playoff relevance, Bleacher Report analyst Brent Sobleski argued that Rodgers no longer has enough left to make Pittsburgh matter.

Sobleski noted that both the franchise and its fans are coming to terms with being an average team lacking legitimate postseason ambitions. He added that the former superstar quarterback isnt capable of rescuing the situation.

Rodgers emphasized accountability within the locker room including himself but also highlighted the need for better execution from his receivers. While their struggles are well documented, Sobleski pointed out that Rodgers hasnt played to his former standard either. A wrist injury on his non-throwing hand may be affecting him, yet he has completed only 52.2% of his passes over the past three games.

Pittsburgh committed heavily to an aging quarterback, and as the season advances, Rodgers appears to be running out of steam. The signal-caller, who turns 42 on December 2, has thrown for 2,086 yards with 19 touchdowns and seven interceptions this season, completing 65.2% of his passes overall.

Following the loss to Buffalo, Rodgers offered two straightforward solutions for improving chemistry with his receivers in the final five weeks: consistent attendance at film sessions and running the correct routes when he checks into an adjustment. He mentioned that weekly meetings and additional off-site opportunities remain open to the entire group.

Rodgers is currently playing through three fractures in his left wrist and also suffered a nose injury during the Bills game, where cameras captured him bleeding after a hard hit from Joey Bosa. Despite the issues, he said he felt healthy enough to suit up, though not ready to take snaps under center. The quarterback expressed frustration with both his own play and the offense as a whole.

Pittsburghs next matchup comes against the Baltimore Ravens a pivotal clash that will determine sole possession of first place in the AFC North.
