Nikola Jokic of the Nuggets achieves unprecedented feat in NBA basketball history

Nikola Jokic Sets Unprecedented Mark in NBA History

Nikola Jokic began the 2025-26 campaign at a slower pace than usual for the Denver Nuggets star. Although the three time MVP dominated the glass and distributed the ball at an elite level in October, averaging 14.4 rebounds and 10.8 assists, his scoring initially dipped toward what would have been his lowest average since the 2019-20 season.

That trend shifted quickly. Jokic has since raised his production to 28.9 points per game, helping lead Denver to a 14-5 record. After recording 26 points and 10 assists against the Phoenix Suns on Saturday, he reached a milestone that had never been achieved in league history.

According to Real Sports on X/Twitter, Jokic surpassed Wilt Chamberlain for the most games with at least 25 points and 10 assists while shooting 100 percent from the field. The achievement underscores his unmatched versatility, whether threading precision passes to cutting teammates, using his strength to finish inside, or creating space in pick and pop situations.

As the Nuggets navigate another competitive season in the Western Conference, particularly with the strong start from the 20-1 Oklahoma City Thunder, the 2023 champions remain a threat with Jokic directing their offense.
