Pittsburgh's Quarterback Aaron Rodgers Receives Bad News on Monday

The Pittsburgh Steelers, led by quarterback Aaron Rodgers, fell short in Week 13, losing 26-7 to Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills. This marked the teams second consecutive defeat, leaving them with a 6-6 record in the 2025 NFL season. Pittsburgh now aims to reclaim the top spot in the AFC North as they prepare to visit Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens.

Rodgers struggled against Buffalos defense, completing only 10 of 21 passes for 117 yards and sustaining a significant cut on his face. Despite the tough performance, Rodgers overall season statistics reflect a strong year. Over 11 games in his first season with the Steelers, he has thrown 202 completions out of 310 attempts for 2,086 yards, 19 touchdowns, and seven interceptions.

On Monday, the NFL released the initial fan voting results for the 2026 Pro Bowl, which accounts for one-third of the total vote. Surprisingly, Rodgers did not rank among the top ten quarterbacks in fan voting despite his steady play in his 21st NFL season. The top quarterbacks in fan voting currently include other leading names at the position.

Fans still have time to influence the Pro Bowl ballot, as voting continues through December 15, with additional input coming from players and coaches. The 2026 Pro Bowl is scheduled for Tuesday, February 3, in San Francisco, ahead of Super Bowl LX.

Linebacker Micah Parsons has received the third-highest number of fan votes in the NFL after the initial voting results. Rodgers and the Steelers will face Lamar Jackson and the Ravens this Sunday at 1:00 p.m. ET.
