County line drug dealer jailed after operating as a 'One-stop shop'

A 20-year-old drug trafficker who operated a "one-stop cocaine outlet" spanning North and West Yorkshire has been imprisoned. Frankie Lee Morrison traveled between Leeds and Scarborough, selling drugs he promoted via text messages, according to North Yorkshire Police.

During a police raid at a Leeds property associated with Morrison, authorities seized cocaine, drug-selling tools, and weapons, including a machete and a sword.

Morrison, who has no fixed address, received a sentence of two years and eight months at York Crown Court after admitting to charges of possessing cocaine with intent to supply, involvement in the supply of cocaine, and possessing cannabis.

The investigation began when officers identified a new county line distributing drugs between West Yorkshire and Scarborough. By analyzing phone records and travel movements, intelligence officers established Morrison as the operator of the drug network.

Detective Constable Alfie Thomlinson commented that Morrison showed "complete disregard for the law" by establishing his drug operation in both Scarborough and Leeds. He added, "Morrison operated undetected for months as his network grew, but we were closely monitoring him and collecting evidence to halt his activities."

Thomlinson further noted that county line drug operations like Morrison's exploit vulnerable individuals and trigger a chain reaction of criminal behavior in communities.
