The world reflects what we celebrate and encourage. When we reward a certain behavior, it grows. When we neglect what is essential, it diminishes. If you find value in RealClears work and its mission to foster a more informed and open society, consider joining us and contributing to our efforts.
Support our mission. Help expand our reach and make our work part of your commitment to a brighter American future. We are looking to grow our community, and there is a place for you on our team.
The Big Picture
RealClear believes the First Amendment is foundational for a reason. Freedom of expression and viewpoint diversity are vital to a healthy democracy, yet they face growing threats. The new generation of voters, influenced by restrictive academic and media trends, often favors censorship, believing that silencing controversial voices promotes safety. This signals a serious failure in education and media leadership.
Our response is straightforward: defend the right to diverse perspectives every day. RealClear provides consistent, public support for this principle and celebrates those who demonstrate extraordinary courage in its defense.
Celebrating Courage
On February 11, we will host our third annual Samizdat Prize Gala to honor individuals who champion free expression. Unlike awards that reinforce narrow, partisan narratives, the Samizdat Prize rewards First Amendment courage and public benefit. Even if you cannot attend, your support helps fund the $25,000 awards, nearly double the value of comparable prizes, ensuring ongoing encouragement for advocates of free speech.
Our Unique Role
RealClear stands apart in a media landscape dominated by uniform voices. We create daily, representative dialogue that reflects Americas diverse perspectives without bias. Our readers engage with multiple viewpoints, strengthening public discourse. In contrast, advertisers influenced by entities hostile to viewpoint diversity have often shied away, yet our work remains indispensable for those shaping public opinion, policy, and law.
Support for Public Good
Next year marks RealClears 25th anniversary. Our distinctive approach ensures that the benefits of free expression and informed debate remain accessible. From historical analysis to investigative reporting, our platforms deliver balanced insight crucial for understanding and participation in democracy.
RealClearInvestigations, for example, curates and investigates stories often ignored by traditional media. From examining election interference claims to holding powerful institutions accountable, our investigative work has consistently passed rigorous reality checks, even when others failed.
The Importance of Free Speech
As the nation approaches its 250th anniversary, the survival of American democracy depends on the free exercise of diverse viewpoints. Free expression sustains the principles of the Declaration of Independence and the vitality of our Republic. One individual can make a difference by supporting institutions like RealClear that tirelessly defend this right.
Join us in strengthening the voice of free speech and supporting a free, informed society. Together, we can make a lasting impact on the public discourse and the future of America.
