Fox Announces Upfront Plan for May; Tubi to Host NewFronts Event as Well

Fox Advertising has revealed that its annual upfront presentation will take place on Monday, May 11, at New York City Center. While the venue is a new choice for Fox, the company continues its tradition of holding upfronts on a Monday.

Previously, City Center served as the primary location for The CWs upfronts for over ten years, until Nexstar assumed control of the network and phased out the annual event.

Alongside Foxs main upfront, Tubi will host a NewFronts event on March 24. Traditionally scheduled for late April or early May, the NewFronts have now been moved up to March for 2026.

Other major networks are also starting their upfronts early. NBCUniversal confirmed in October that its yearly event will occur on May 11 at Radio City Music Hall. Last year, the traditional broadcast upfront week was condensed into three busy days in mid-May, with streaming giants like Amazon, YouTube, and Netflix also participating.

Despite shifts in the media landscape, the core purpose of upfronts remains the same: advertisers can secure spots early at more favorable rates than in the scatter market. NBCUniversal aims to highlight its 2026 slate, especially its sports programming, while Fox is emphasizing next summers World Cup soccer, anticipating high viewership and strong ad revenue.

Jeff Collins, Foxs head of advertising, commented, We look forward to welcoming advertisers to our new upfront location at the New York City Center, where well show how brands can engage with passionate audiences across our live sports, news, and entertainment content, as well as through Tubi.

Tubis event will be hosted at Pier 59 Studios in Chelsea Piers. The free, ad-supported streaming service plans to present audience insights, advertising technology innovations, and new partnership opportunities.
