After NBC canceled Suits LA, actor Josh McDermitt has landed a significant new television role. McDermitt, widely recognized for his work on The Walking Dead, is set to appear in a recurring role on CBS popular series Fire Country for its fourth season.

Trading legal drama for firefighting action, McDermitt will debut on Fire Country starting with the episode airing Friday, December 5. His arrival coincides with the introduction of other recurring characters, including Alona Tal and Conor Sherry.

In the series, McDermitt portrays Landon, a seemingly timid man who becomes Chloes partner. Their storyline follows the family as they struggle to recover after losing their home in a wildfire. The plotline adds emotional depth and potential romantic tension for the shows central characters. Chloes past connection with Bode Donovan, a former high school peer tutor, resurfaces when Chloes son Tyler crosses paths with Bode, setting up the possibility of a love triangle that could involve Landon.

McDermitt brings extensive television experience to Fire Country. He is best known for his long-standing role as Eugene Porter on AMCs The Walking Dead and appeared in the Season 4 premiere of HBOs The Righteous Gemstones. His past credits also include Mad Men, Life in Color, Odious, Twin Peaks, Middle Man, and Creepshow.
