Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau Make Relationship Instagram Official with Intimate Photos from Japan Trip

Katy Perry has officially announced her relationship with Justin Trudeau on Instagram. The pop singer, 41, posted photos and videos from their visit to Japan, showcasing intimate moments with the former Canadian prime minister, 53.

One photo captures Perry and Trudeau posing cheek-to-cheek in an outdoor selfie. A video carousel shows them dining together, sharing affectionate glances, and visiting what appears to be an interactive art exhibit. Perry captioned the post: "Tokyo times on tour and more ( ) ."

During her Lifetimes Tour in Japan, Perry joined Trudeau for a meeting with former Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and his wife, Yuko, on December 3. Kishida shared a photo of the trio by a Christmas tree, referring to Perry as Trudeau's "partner" in his post on X.

"Former Canadian Prime Minister @JustinTrudeau visited Japan with his partner and joined my wife and me for lunch," Kishida wrote. "We met many times as leaders and strengthened Canada-Japan relations, including creating the 'Japan-Canada Action Plan.' I am glad our friendship continues in this way." Trudeau echoed the sentiment when he shared Kishida's post, adding, "Katy and I were so glad to have the chance to sit down with you and Yuko. Thank you, Fumio, for your friendship and commitment to a better future."

Rumors of Perry and Trudeau's romance began earlier this summer when they were spotted on a date in Montreal. Perry had recently ended her engagement with Orlando Bloom in June, while Trudeau separated from his wife Sophie Grgoire in 2023 after 18 years of marriage.

Insiders revealed that Trudeau pursued Perry, even flying to California to visit her during a tour break. The couple shares a strong connection, with Perry finding him attractive and appreciating his respectful approach.

Their first public appearance as a couple occurred on October 25 at a cabaret show at Crazy Horse Paris, where they were seen holding hands and smiling as they left the theater.
