Madonna's Boyfriend Akeem Morris Supports Her Amid Drama with Ex Guy Ritchie, Singer Fully Engages

Madonna has revealed how devastating it was for her to face a custody dispute with former husband Guy Ritchie over their son Rocco. Speaking on Jay Shettys On Purpose podcast, the 67-year-old star described the experience as feeling like the end of the world.

Back in 2016, during her Rebel Heart tour, 16-year-old Rocco reportedly chose to stay in London with his father. Madonna and the British filmmaker, who were married from 2000 to 2008, share two children: Rocco, now 25, and David Banda, 20.

Although Madonna and Rocco have since repaired their relationship, her current partner, Akeem Morris, is said to be fiercely protective of her and angered by the ordeal she endured.

According to an insider, Akeem recently learned the full story and was outraged, insisting that Guy deserved consequences for causing pain to the woman he calls his queen. Madonna reportedly appreciates his loyalty and the feeling of having someone fully in her corner.

Akeem, a 29-year-old former Jamaican college soccer standout, appeared with Madonna in a Material Girl-themed photo shoot for Paper Magazine in August 2022. Described as traditionally masculine, he is said to maintain an alpha presence in the relationship despite their age and financial differences, taking his role as her protector seriously.

However, the tension does not sit well with Rocco. Though he and Madonna have reconciled, he remains close to his father and does not view him negatively, making discussions involving Guy somewhat uncomfortable for him.
