Peacock releases teaser and premiere date for updated version of 'The 'Burbs'

Peacock has dropped the first teaser for The 'Burbs, a modern adaptation of the 1989 horror-comedy film. The series features Keke Palmer, Jack Whitehall, Julia Duffy, and Mark Proksch, and is set to debut on Peacock on February 8.

Celeste Hughey, known for her work on Palm Royale and Dead to Me, is both the writer and executive producer of this updated version.

The show centers on a young couple who have moved, reluctantly, into the husbands childhood home. Their lives take a dark turn when a mysterious new neighbor arrives, revealing long-buried secrets in the cul-de-sac and introducing dangerous new threats that disrupt the peace of the neighborhood.

The 30-second teaser released on Thursday features Palmer confronting her neighbors about a sinister abandoned house across the street, connected to the death of a young woman. The cast also includes Paula Pell and Kapil Talwalker.
