Rare Photo of Jack Nicholson, 88, with Kids Lorraine and Ray

Jack Nicholson recently delighted fans with a rare glimpse of his family life. The 88-year-old actor appeared beaming alongside his children, Lorraine Nicholson, 35, and Ray Nicholson, 33, during a cozy gathering last month. A photo posted on Lorraines Instagram on December 4 showed Jack leaning in for a warm embrace with Lorraine, who wrapped her arms around him and Ray, capturing a tender family moment at home.

The Nicholson family has been enjoying several memorable gatherings lately. Lorraine shared more snapshots from what she called a November to remember, including outings to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Governors Awards with her boyfriend Jason Reitman, as well as quality time with Jacks eldest daughter, Jennifer Nicholson, 62.

While Jack, a three-time Academy Award winner, has mostly stayed away from the public eye in recent yearsaside from occasional appearances at Los Angeles Lakers gameshe made a notable appearance during Saturday Night Lives 50th anniversary special in February. During the live show, Jack introduced SNL alum Adam Sandler, who performed a song celebrating the series history and gave a shout-out to the legendary actor.

Earlier in January, another Instagram post from Lorraine featured Jack giving her a warm hug at home. Lorraine has often described her father as a key influence in her life. In 2011, she told Us Weekly that Jack had inspired her to pursue acting, calling him my mentor and highlighting the close bond they share.

Lorraine also shared a piece of family wisdom that has guided her career: her grandmother once advised Jack, Dont toot your own horn, meaning to remain modest and let ones work speak for itself. Lorraine applies this philosophy to both her acting and everyday life.
