Spirit Awards 2026 Nominations (LIVE UPDATES)

The nominations for the 2026 Spirit Awards are being revealed. This annual event celebrates exceptional accomplishments in both film and television.

To qualify for film categories, productions must have had a budget under $30 million, with the John Cassavetes Award reserved for films costing no more than $1 million. In the television categories, only series that premiered between October 1, 2024, and September 30, 2025, and completed a single season, are considered eligible. Anthology series qualify only during their debut season.

The 40th edition of the Film Independent Spirit Awards is set for February 15, 2026, at the Hollywood Palladium.
