Pictures reveal President Trump appearing to nod off once more while at work

Recent photographs reveal President Donald Trump appearing to struggle to stay awake during a Cabinet meeting at the White House. The images, captured on Tuesday, December 2, during his ninth Cabinet session, follow his recent criticism of the New York Times over reports questioning his energy levels. They also come after an analysis by the Washington Post, which noted Trump spent roughly 20 minutes trying to keep his eyes open at a prior Oval Office press event.

Photos from Reuters and Getty show multiple instances where Trump's eyes seem partially or fully closed throughout the meeting. Several other news organizations reported observing similar moments during the session with U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth and other officials.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Levitt stated that Trump was listening attentively and running the entire meeting, according to coverage from the New York Times. These observations occur in the context of Trumps frequent public references to former President Joe Biden as Sleepy Joe, highlighting the contrast given Bidens age of 82 upon leaving office. Trump himself will turn 80 in June.

During the Cabinet meeting, Trump was seen speaking alongside Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth. The discussion included criticism of Democrats complaints about inflation, with Trump asserting that prices for items such as gasoline and groceries have declined. He emphasized that the word affordability is a con job by the Democrats.

Despite his remarks on staying sharp and improving over the years, Trump appeared to nod off for periods during the one-hour meeting. Meanwhile, data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics shows that while some prices have decreased, the overall cost of food and groceries has risen over the past year.
