Body discovered during search for missing man in rural area

Authorities have located a body while investigating the disappearance of a man who had been missing for a week. Official confirmation of identity has not yet occurred, but Adrian Knott's family, aged 51, who was last seen the previous Sunday, have been notified.

The body was found near the Gatehouse of Fleet in Dumfries and Galloway at approximately 10:40 AM on Saturday. Law enforcement indicated that the death is currently considered unexplained, although there is no suspicion of foul play.

During the search, police employed both a helicopter and drones to comb the surrounding rural areas in an effort to locate Mr. Knott.
