Machado, who was barred from running against President Nicols Maduro in the 2024 elections, is being honored for her dedicated efforts in advancing democratic rights in Venezuela and advocating for a peaceful transition from dictatorship to democracy.

After the announcement of Machado as the Nobel Peace Prize winner, Danny Ocean shared his reaction on social media, emphasizing the historic nature of the news. He noted that her courage and activism could inspire a new generation, with some expressing their struggles through music while others continue the fight for freedom.
