Is Dr. Will Kirby Considering a Return to 'Big Brother'? — The Season 2 Winner Shares Thoughts

Having competed on Big Brother twice, winning once and returning for multiple appearances across its 27 seasons, Dr. Will Kirby opens up about the possibility of stepping back into the house. Kirby captured the crown in Season 2 and later placed fourth during the All-Stars season (7). He cemented his reputation as one of the games most skilled players, surviving four nominations in his initial season while barely winning any competitions. His success came from smart strategies and forming key alliances to control the majority.

During his All-Stars return, Kirby faced the challenge of being the only former winner in the lineup, making him a prime target. Reuniting with his Chilltown ally, Mike Boogie Malin, the duo orchestrated moves to eliminate opponents strategically, advancing further in the game. Despite this, Kirby was ultimately voted out in fourth place by Janelle Pierzina, with whom he shared a Showmance, while Malin went on to win.

Even though Kirby only competed twice, he has maintained a recurring presence on the series. He has hosted Jury Roundtables, returned in Season 14 to analyze Malins gameplay, appeared as the next-door neighbor during Season 22s Neighbors Week, and made a cameo in the Season 27 finale where he was humorously accused of being a Mastermind. Outside Big Brother, Kirby competed on the second season of Deal or No Deal Island, exiting in episode seven and announcing his retirement from reality TV afterward.

Discussing a potential return, Kirby clarified that he would consider only a guest role. At this stage in my life, committing the time to win again would be difficult. To succeed in Big Brother, you need to be completely focused, with winning as your only option, he explained. Reflecting on his 2001 victory, he recalled that he had nothing holding him back, making the win a necessity. Today, contestants with true staying power are those with an intense drivethey have to win, and theyll do whatever it takes. Im not sure I have that same urgency now, he added.

Kirby emphasized the intensity of being in the house, calling it a whole other world of pain, while praising the shows producers, Rich Meehan, Alison Grodner, and Chris Roach, for including him over the years. With 27 seasons completed, Ive participated in about half, and I really enjoy staying connected to this iconic series, he said.

Though he is unlikely to compete as a contestant again, Kirby is enthusiastic about remaining involved in some capacity. Even a small role in Big Brothers history excites me. Being part of that legacy, no matter how minor, is meaningful, he concluded.
