Whitney Leavitt is stepping into the New Year with even more dance ahead. While attending the LOreal Paris Women of Worth 2025 event on December 2, she revealed that she will make her Broadway debut in Chicago this coming February.
Leavitt, known for her viral MomToker content, said she had been actively manifesting new opportunities and now feels those ambitions closer than ever.
Her upcoming Broadway run follows a whirlwind period that included the Dancing with the Stars season finale and the imminent Secret Lives of Mormon Wives reunion. The momentum continues as she prepares to join the cast of Chicago in February 2026.
Speaking at the event, Leavitt explained that the offer arrived almost immediately after her unexpected exit from DWTS. Competing in season 34 with professional partner Mark Ballas, she had consistently topped the leaderboard but was eliminated in the Semi-Finals.
Right after I was eliminated not the next day, but the one after they asked me to fly to New York, she shared. She had already submitted videos showcasing her vocals, acting, and dance abilities, but the in-person audition served as the final step. The next day, they told me I got the role. I was incredibly grateful.
Leavitt described the moment as surreal, adding that holding such exciting news felt almost unreal. Everything Ive been manifesting now feels within reach. I can see it, and Im going for it.
During an earlier conversation with Derek Hough for Extra, she confirmed that the production first reached out after Week 4 of DWTS, following her standout Hamilton-inspired performance with Ballas.
Her six-week limited engagement in Chicago begins February 2, 2026, at the Ambassador Theatre in New York City, concluding on March 15, 2026. The role marks Leavitts first professional theater appearance.
The Utah-based mother of three is already familiar with the musicals energy. On DWTS, she and Ballas performed an Argentine Tango to Cell Block Tango, one of the shows signature numbers.
Although their elimination cut their journey short, the duo still revealed their planned finale freestyle routine. During their November 26 interview on Call Her Daddy, host Alex Cooper asked if they would perform what would have been their final dance. Ballas immediately agreed.
The freestyle routine set to Frank Sinatras My Way, paired with elements of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives theme, served as their response to the criticism they received throughout the season. The performance portrayed Leavitt battling intrusive cameras before Ballas lifted her up and the two embraced their reflections a symbolic ending to their season together.
