Luka Doncic will be absent from the Los Angeles Lakers upcoming game against the Toronto Raptors due to personal reasons. On Thursday, the team shared that Doncic and his wife have welcomed their second child in Slovenia. His participation in Fridays matchup against the Boston Celtics is currently unclear.

The Lakers (15-5) are set to play a back-to-back series, starting Thursday on the road against the Raptors, followed by a Friday game in Boston. Doncic, a key player for Los Angeles, will not be available for the first of these games. Although officially sidelined for personal matters, the news marks a joyous occasion for the Doncic family: Luka returned to Slovenia to celebrate the birth of their second daughter with his wife, Anamaria, just hours before the Lakers game.

Social media quickly filled with congratulatory messages. One fan wrote, "Congratulations Luka!" while another commented, "Congrats to the future Lakers star and his wonderful wife. Luka Doncic, 26, met Anamaria when they were both 12 years old during a vacation in Croatia. They maintained close friendships over the years and officially started dating in 2016. Luka proposed in 2023, and later that year, the couple welcomed their first child, Gabriela, who is now a big sister.

The Lakers are currently evaluating Doncics availability for Fridays game against the Celtics as they manage the challenges of a back-to-back schedule.
