Skip Bayless Criticizes LeBron James After Lakers Game

The Los Angeles Lakers narrowly defeated the Toronto Raptors 123-120 on Thursday, marking their 16th win of the 2025-26 NBA season. Despite the victory, LeBron James had an uncharacteristically quiet night, scoring only eight points and ending his remarkable streak of 1,297 consecutive games with double-digit scoring.

On the final play, James opted to pass instead of taking the shot himself, finding forward Rui Hachimura in the corner for a decisive three-pointer. Fans praised James' smart decision-making, but former Fox Sports commentator Skip Bayless expressed sharp criticism online.

Bayless took to X (formerly Twitter) to post:
"LEBRICK JAMES: Finally held under 10 after again and again barely surviving. At Toronto, he went 4-17 and 0-5 WITHOUT LUKA. Undrafted Austin Reaves: 44! Lakers win in spite of the 'King.'"

Although James struggled offensively, he contributed in other areas, recording six rebounds and 11 assists. Meanwhile, undrafted guard Austin Reaves starred with 44 points, stepping up to carry the teams scoring load.

Bayless remarks are part of his ongoing criticism of James, continuing a pattern seen last month when he suggested that the four-time MVP harbored jealousy toward teammate Luka Doncic. Fans, however, have recently celebrated James achievements, including MVP chants during a November 25 game at Crypto.com Arena after Doncics 43-point effort led to a Lakers win.
