Amid his recent removal from official royal duties, Andrew Mountbatten Windsor is reportedly aiming to secure a sizable residence, complete with the luxurious features he has long enjoyed, according to royal commentators speaking to Fox News Digital.
He appears upset and wants to be treated fairly, especially after relinquishing his longstanding lease at Royal Lodge, noted British royal expert Helena Chard in a report published Thursday, December 4.
King Charles III instructed his brother to leave the 30-room Royal Lodge in October, coinciding with the stripping of Andrews royal titles. As previously noted, the former Duke of York is expected to relocate to Sandringham Estate, the monarchs private property in rural Norfolk, England.
Chard added, Andrew seems frustrated over the downgrade in his living arrangements and is now reportedly requesting a suitable six- or seven-bedroom home on the Sandringham grounds. He expects to retain the full complement of staff he is accustomed to, including a cook, housekeeper, gardener, driver, and security personnel.
The 65-year-old royal has faced numerous challenges linked to his past associations, yet he maintains his innocence regarding the allegations connected to Jeffrey Epstein. Experts suggest he feels wronged by his brothers recent directives.
Its important to note that Andrew lost his titles not due to any legal conviction, but because ongoing allegations were seen as a distraction to the work of the monarchy, explained royal commentator Meredith Constant. She further remarked that the father of Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie feels entitled because he was born into privilege.
Royal analyst Hilary Fordwich described Andrew as eager to claim as much as possible, including what is believed to be a $99 million settlement alongside a fully staffed estate in Norfolk. He is attempting to uphold his personal dignity and his daughters royal standing, Fordwich said, but the effort may backfire, highlighting a disconnect from public perception and potentially harming the monarchys image.
Andrew, who previously resided nearly rent-free at Royal Lodge with his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, 66, reportedly has until January 31 to vacate the property.
