This series of high-level meetings across Europe comes while Washington is urging Kyiv to consider a controversial peace proposal that plays a central role in ongoing negotiations during what an EU official called a decisive week for diplomacy. However, discussions between American and Ukrainian representatives over the weekend produced few concrete outcomes, and major points of contention remain.
Macron stressed that any final peace agreement must be concluded with Europeans at the table.
