Matthew Perry’s Physician Receives 2 1/2 Year Prison Sentence Following Pleas from Actor’s Parents to Judge

As sentencing approached for those connected to Matthew Perrys death, the actors family submitted deeply moving letters to the court. Perrys mother, Suzanne Perry, and stepfather, Keith Morrison, expressed the depth of their sorrow in a letter filed on December 3. They wrote, How do you measure grief? Can you possibly provide any rational accounting? The bottom falling out? Yes, that. A life so intertwined with ours, held together with anything that could prevent the loss of our first-born son, and our hearts went with him.

The couple continued, describing the betrayal and devastation they felt, And then those greedy jackals come out of the dark, and all the efforts are for naught; it all crashes down. There is a swirl of emotions. Anger lingers, whether you want it to or not, as the mind replays unchangeable events endlessly.

Perrys father, John Perry, and stepmother, Debbie Perry, also issued a statement, emphasizing their disbelief and heartbreak. They wrote, You dont deserve to hear our feelings. Matthews recovery depended on your refusal. Your motives? I cant imagine. A doctors life is devoted to helping otherswhat were you thinking? This branch of the Perry family, which came over on the Mayflower, has ended now.
