Mavs' Ryan Nembhard achieves unprecedented feat in NBA basketball history

Ryan Nembhard, the undrafted guard for the Dallas Mavericks, has made a remarkable mark in NBA history. In Monday's matchup against the Denver Nuggets, Nembhard led the Mavericks to a 131-121 victory with an extraordinary performance.

He tallied 28 points and 10 assists while maintaining perfect ball control with no turnovers. Nembhard was highly efficient, shooting 12-of-14 from the field, including 4-of-5 from beyond the arc.

According to the Mavericks public relations team, this performance makes him the first undrafted player ever to record at least 25 points and 10 assists in a game without committing a turnover. Additionally, he is the first rookie of any draft status to achieve a 25-10-0 stat line since Stephon Marbury accomplished it on November 29, 1996. He also follows in the footsteps of his brother Andrew, who previously reached 25 points and 10 assists without considering turnovers.

Before joining the NBA, Nembhard was a standout at Gonzaga, showing potential as a valuable backup guard. Despite being 5-foot-11 and slightly older for a rookie, he has quickly proven his worth on the court.

With his recent performance, Nembhard has earned a spot in the Mavericks starting lineup, demonstrating that he could be a key contributor for the team as they build around young talent like Cooper Flagg. Early signs suggest he may be a cornerstone for Dallas in the seasons to come.
