The White House Intensifies Conflict with Sabrina Carpenter by Releasing New ICE Video Featuring Her ‘SNL’ Clip

The White House has furthered its conflict with pop singer Sabrina Carpenter by releasing a new video promoting additional ICE arrests, this time incorporating footage from her recent appearance on Saturday Night Live.

This follows Carpenters recent criticism of a prior video that paired ICE enforcement footage with her song Juno. In the latest release, the administration manipulated a clip of Carpenter on SNL, replacing the word hot with illegal. The edited clip features Carpenter saying, I think I might need to arrest someone for being too illegal.

Marcello Hernndez, a cast member of SNL, responds in the clip, Oh well, I turn myself in. Carpenter concludes, Youre under arrest, followed by footage of immigrants being pursued and detained by ICE agents.

The video was shared on social media with the caption: If youre a criminal illegal, you WILL be arrested & deported.

This comes shortly after The White House previously used Carpenters song Juno in another video that sparked immediate backlash. The earlier clip featured the caption Have you ever tried this one along with playful emojis, prompting criticism from Carpenter and her fans.

Responding directly, Carpenter wrote on social media, This video is evil and disgusting. Do not ever involve me or my music to benefit your inhumane agenda.
